The spice of life is variety, and that’s especially true in the world of colour. Stampin’ Up! makes a point to keep an eye on colour trends across different markets and industries. When they see changes happening, they review their colour spectrum to ensure that they remain consistently on top of the trends. This brings us to the 2018 Colour Revamp!
There are still four colour collections, each with ten colours. There is also a new colour group called Basics.
In order to keep the colour collections to exclusive Stampin’ Up! colours, Basic Black, Very Vanilla, and Whisper White were moved out of the Neutrals collection. A few colours were also moved into the Neutrals collection, making it more exciting and colourful!
Some additional colours have changed collections as well—you may notice this as you look through the new collections below. These changes were based on needing to maintain colour balance in the updated collections. For example, Poppy Parade is now the brightest red so it is part of the Brights collection.
There are no changes to the In Color programme. Every two years, five new In Colors will be released that will be available for the ensuing two years. Here are the carrying over In Colors, plus the brand new collection that just arrived with the new Annual Catalogue.
We also have previous In Colors that are returning and joining our core colours:
- Mossy Meadow
- Poppy Parade
- Flirty Flamingo
- Coastal Cabana
- Mint Macaron
- Blackberry Bliss
In addition to returning favourites, we also have a selection of never before seen colours joining the collections.
All of these changes, additions and adjustments bring us to...
As much as change can be tricky, especially when it comes to favourite things coming and going, I could not have been more excited to see the new colour collections all lined up. They just seemed to make immediate sense to me and I'm excited to discover some new favourites and combinations.
Speaking of new favourites and combinations, here are some tools for you to discover some for yourself. Download the Colour Coach for the Colour Collections and In Colors, and also print blank sheets to record and keep track of new favourite combinations of your own.
